Communion

The celebration of the Mass is at the heart of the Catholic faith.  The gifts of bread & wine become the Body & Blood of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Holy Communion is offered to baptized Catholic following a period of catechesis (classes) and preparation. Children preparing to receive Holy Communion will complete a two-year preparation process either in our Catholic Academy or the Parish Faith Formation Program. The Sacrament will be offered at the end of the Second Grade.

Adults who are baptized but have not yet received Holy Communion must enroll in the parish RCIA Program (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). This program is necessary in order to prepare to receive Holy Communion. Adults complete their Christian Initiation each year at the Easter Vigil.
