About Our Program
The Faith Formation Program at Saint Saviour serves the students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 8. All families are invited to attend the 9:30 AM Family Mass each Sunday. The Family Mass features our Children Hospitality Ministers, Children’s Family Mass Lectors and Children’s Choir. At the conclusion of Mass, the children proceed home to get ready for their ZOOM class with their Catechist. Virtual classes run from 11:30 am to 12 noon thus allowing ample time to get home and settle into their weekly instruction.
When classes are permitted to use a school building, Faith Formation’s new home is Saint Saviour High School at 588 6th Street. Classes will run from 10:45 to 11:45 and children are dismissed from the High School gymnasium.
Faith Formation Fee is $150 for one child, $175 for two children, $200 for three or more children

DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Our Parish uses the blended Catechetical Series, “Christ in Us” by Sadlier for grades 1 through 7. Grades 7 and 8 will be using the Confirmation Prep series by Sadlier.
Christ In Us is personalized for parish settings and is based on each user’s profile. This blended learning catechetical program simultaneously supports and inspires all participants, linking religious education formation to the parish community. Throughout the program, participants accompany one another along a faith journey and live out their lives as missionary disciples in the world.
A spiral curriculum leads children through a process of inquiry-posing an Essential Question of faith for each unit and lesson. Essential Questions recur in all grades, deepening understanding as lessons build on faith concepts in developmentally appropriate ways each year. A blended learning program that seamlessly integrates Student Editions and Catechist Guides with online resources to meet the needs of parishes, schools and families. Access to digital tools and resources is a hallmark of this program, supporting engagement and easing communication between the school and families. Tools and resources are mobile friendly and available anytime, anywhere on most internet-enabled devices.
Please print a copy of the application, complete fully and return immediately to the Rectory, to the attention of Deacon Paul Norman. Be sure to include the completed application, the fees & any required documentation. Thank you!
