About Our Program
The Faith Formation Program at Saint Saviour serves the students in grades one through eight. All children are expected to attend the 9:30 AM Family Mass each Sunday as part of the weekly Faith Formation program. The Family Mass features our Children Hospitality Ministers, Children’s Family Mass Lectors and Children’s Choir. At the conclusion of Mass, the children proceed to the school to continue with their classroom catechesis which runs from the conclusion of Mass to 11:45 am.
Faith Formation Fees for the 2023 -2024 Academic year are:
$175.00 for one child,
$200.00 for two children, and
$225.00 for three or more children.
There is a Two-year requirement in order to receive the Sacraments. First Grade is required in order for the children to receive Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the Spring of Second Grade. If a child begins the program in an upper grade, they must successfully complete two full years of Faith Formation before being admitted to the Sacraments.
Confirmation is received in the Eighth Grade following the Two-year preparation in the Seventh & Eighth Grades.
There is a separate fee for the Sacrament preparation for First Sacrament Candidates and Confirmation Candidates of $150.00.

Curriculum
Our Parish uses the blended Catechetical Series, “Christ in Us” by Sadlier for grades 1 through 6. Grades 7 and 8 will be using the Confirmation Prep series by Sadlier.
Christ In Us is personalized for parish settings and is based on each user’s profile. This blended learning catechetical program simultaneously supports and inspires all participants, linking religious education formation to the parish community. Throughout the program, participants accompany one another along a faith journey and live out their lives as missionary disciples in the world.
A spiral curriculum leads children through a process of inquiry-posing an Essential Question of faith for each unit and lesson. Essential Questions recur in all grades, deepening understanding as lessons build on faith concepts in developmentally appropriate ways each year. Access to digital tools and resources is a hallmark of this program, supporting engagement and easing communication between the school and families. Tools and resources are mobile-friendly and available anytime, anywhere on most internet-enabled devices.
Please print a copy of the application, complete it fully and return it immediately to the Rectory, to the attention of Deacon Paul Norman. Be sure to include the completed application, the appropriate fees & the Baptismal Certificate if not already submitted (even if the child was Baptized at St. Saviours). Thank you!
