Become a Lector at St. Saviour! Proclaiming the Word of God to His people is a wonderful and humbling privilege. To proclaim The Word of God well and meaningfully is to make it come alive for the congregation. Any parishioner at St. Saviour who is 16 years or older is welcome to join the Adult Ministry of the Word. Prospective ministers should be comfortable speaking to a large audience and should have a clear, strong voice.
Becoming a lector at St. Saviour is easy: you will be given individual training on the lector’s responsibilities in the Mass, from your place in a procession to becoming familiar with speaking from the ambo. In addition, you will be provided with a workbook and various support materials that will aid you in your ministry.
